How can I recharge a Nauta account from abroad?

Nauta account users can connect to the internet at WiFi zones or use Nauta Hogar. Follow these steps:

1. Sign up on Fonoma with Google, Apple, Facebook, or email.

2. Select Nauta as the recharge type.

What email address do I need to send a Nauta recharge?

You must use the recipient's Nauta email address, ending in @nauta.com.cu or @nauta.co.cu. It's essential to verify it before paying: Nauta recharges cannot be canceled or redirected once sent. How long does Nauta credit take to arrive and what do I do if it doesn't appear?

Nauta credit almost always arrives within minutes. Once credited, it's valid for 330 days from the last connection. If it hasn't appeared after one hour:

  • Verify the email ends in @nauta.com.cu or @nauta.co.cu
  • Check your recharge history in the Fonoma app to confirm the status
  • If everything looks correct, contact us via chat and we'll resolve it immediately

How much balance can I send in a single Nauta recharge?

You can send between 250 CUP and 1,250 CUP per transaction. If you need to send a larger amount, you can make multiple consecutive recharges — balance accumulates in the recipient's account without any issue. Can Nauta balance be used to pay for the monthly Nauta Hogar plan?

Do I earn cashback on Nauta recharges?

Yes, every Nauta recharge generates 3% cashback in Fonoma Credit, the same as Cubacel recharges. The credit has no expiration date and can be applied to any future recharge — Nauta, Cubacel, or Data Plan. What's the difference between a Nauta recharge and a Cubacel recharge?

They are different, non-interchangeable services:

  • Cubacel recharge: adds balance to the phone for calls, SMS, and mobile data (4G/3G)
  • Nauta recharge: credits an internet account for connecting at ETECSA WiFi zones or with Nauta Hogar — cannot be used for calls or SMS
